| According
to a growing body of research, the main source of the
health benefits is a substance in tea called epigallocatechin
gallate (EGCG) which has been shown to create anti-carcinogenic,
anti-oxidant, anti-angiogenic, anti-viral, and anti-diabetic
activity. One study even found that the EGCG binds to
a protein found on tumor cells and dramatically slows
their growth*!
Some companies are
trying to extract EGCG from tea and produce pills.
We think the best way to get your dose of EGCG is to just
drink good loose leaf tea!
